Our Mission

Race For Strength exists to raise awareness and vital funding for Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) and other rare neuromuscular disorders. These conditions may be lesser known, but their impact is very real—challenging the strength, mobility, and independence of individuals and families every day.

Through endurance motorsport racing, every lap is a statement: those living with HSP and neuromuscular disorders are not forgotten, and they do not fight alone. Racing is more than crossing the finish line — it’s about pushing limits, inspiring resilience, and fueling hope for those who face battles far greater than the track.

Our mission is to unite fans, drivers, partners, and communities in one shared cause: to accelerate awareness, support research, and bring strength and encouragement to families navigating these rare but life-changing conditions.

Why We Race

Race For Strength is an endurance motorsport team with a deeper purpose — to bring visibility, funding, and community support to the fight against HSP and other rare neuromuscular disorders.

Why HSP Needs a Voice

Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) is a group of inherited neurological disorders that cause progressive stiffness and weakness in the legs. It’s rare, often misdiagnosed, and misunderstood — and that lack of awareness limits funding, care, and hope.

Race For Strength was founded to change that. Through the visibility of endurance racing, we aim to put HSP on the map, raise donations for research, and give families living with this condition a reason to feel seen.

Why It Matters to Us

Race For Strength was founded by Dustin Best — not just a passionate endurance racer, but someone personally impacted by Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP). Both Dustin and his older brother were diagnosed with the condition, giving him a firsthand understanding of the physical and emotional challenges it brings.

Motorsports has long been Dustin’s passion, and now it serves as a platform to bring visibility to a condition that often goes unseen. His mission isn’t about racing in spite of HSP — it’s about racing with it, and for everyone who shares this journey.

By turning laps, Dustin and the Race For Strength team aim to spark conversations, raise awareness, and rally support for those living with HSP and other neuromuscular disorders.
